Drink Rules
- Alcoholic Base. All the drinks present in the contest must contain at least 3 cl of one of the indicated Grappe Luigi Francoli or Ricette della Zia Mina grappas.
- Volume. The range is from 7 and 20 cl including drops, unless otherwise expressly stated in the proposed theme for each online session.
- Unit of measure. Recipes can be expressed in cl or ounces. Anything else must be adapted to the recipe. The dosages may be made freely or with a metal pourer.
- Methods of preparation. Free of choice: all kinds of techniques are accepted as long as deemed appropriate to the needs and logistics of the "live" event.
- Recipes for the “live” phase. The recipes presented during the "live" event must be the same as those which were presented at the online sessions.
- Ingredients. The list of ingredients available for the drinks and decorations will be made available on the website. Anything not listed must be brought by the student.
- Decorations. The decorations must be edible and always be indicated on the recipe.
- Ingredients and techniques not permitted. Ingredients and techniques not permitted by the law will not be allowed (ex. eggs, open flame, etc.).
- Glasses. During the “live” event, the Distillerie Francoli will provide a series of glasses which are indicated on the website. Contenders may bring their own or may use dug-out fruit as glasses.

Proportions and time limits. The portions to prepare are:
- two during the online phase with a max of 4 minutes;
- two during the “live” semi-finals with a max of 6 minutes;
- four during the final “live” event without a limit of time.
- Decorations. During the "live" event, decorations must be prepared in the office with a max of 15 minutes. Upon previous agreement, additional time is available only for those operations which do not require manual skill (ex. melting or freezing of ingredients).
- Contest Station. The contestants will have a kit provided by the Distillerie Francoli and which has been described on the website. Anything not mentioned is considered personal and must be furnished and brought by the student.
- Office. Access into the Office during the "live" event is reserved only for the competitors and is regulated by the Office staff. Communication with the outside must be made only by those authorized by the Distillerie Francoli. The office will provide the equipment as has been indicated on the website. Competitors may, where deemed appropriate, bring their own equipment.
- Order, number and physical aspect of the contestants. The exiting order of the competitors during the "live" event will be determined at the beginning of the competition. Competitors will compete in groups of up to eight. Each competitor is required, during the contest and awards, to wear their School's uniform.
